About Me...

My name is Matthew Blum and I hold a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Which I obtained at Clemson University in the spring of 2001. I turned 27 on the 16th of July, and am trying to pursue a career in Pharmacy.

I was born and raised in Solon, Ohio. I have lived there all of my life and have loved it since birth. I grew up in the local school system until I was in the seventh grade. In the seventh grade, I switched to a small private school in Cleveland called Hawken School.  Hawken, was an awesome private high school, where everyone knew all of the other people. Like most people will attest, most of the free time in school (when we were not doing homework) was spent playing some of the teachers in games of chess. Dr. Carr and Mr. Lewis were two of the toughest chess players that I played all of the time. While at Hawken, I spent most of my time away from academics playing on the varsity golf team and was the school's student athletic trainer for the football and men's basketball teams. While on the varsity golf team, I currently hold the honor of being the medalist the day we broke the school record for the lowest combined team score in relation to par.

At Clemson, I had spent five years studying chemistry as my major. I also spent my time as a manager and aide for the Clemson men's basketball team  and was a former vice-president of the Clemson University Hillel.  In addition to those activities I had also spent time working for the university as a Resident Assistant (RA) and a Desk Assistant (DA).

I currently am working for a major retail pharmacy awaiting to go back to school for my PharmD degree.
